Game 19: Cleveland Naps vs. Boston Americans
Another late-inning lead wasted, ending in a 4th straight loss as the Cleveland Naps (10-9) topped the Boston Americans (9-10) by a 10 to 7 score. The defeat dropped the Americans to 7th place in the American League standings.
Kid Nichols (1-4) picked up his first victory of the season despite allowing 7 runs (6 earned) on 11 hits, 2 walks, 1 wild pitch, and 1 hit batsman in 8 innings of play; Game Score of 35. Jake Weimer covered the final inning of play to earn his first save of the season. Jose Ramos logged the final 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
