Cards news : Sept. 3 -- Allen agrees to five-year deal worth $122 million
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that they have signed right-handed starting pitcher Matt Allen to a five-year contract worth $122 million.
Acquired from the New York Mets in a July trade with the New York Mets, the 28-year-old has gone 13-11 with a 3.81 ERA in 37 starts with the Cardinals.
In the 2029 season, Allen is 8-8 with a 4.06 ERA in 25 starts.
