Today is the second game in the series in Cincinnati between the Orphans and the Reds. The Orphans are still looking for their first win of the season.

The Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly negotiating with free agent RP Roy Evans.

In the top of the first, Hartsel put the Orphans on the board with a sacrifice fly.

Taylor had a no-hitter through three.

After three: Chicago 1 Cincinnati 0.

In the top of the fifth, Childs got a run-scoring single.

In the bottom of the fifth, Magoon got an infield single with one out for the Reds first hit of the game. The Reds went on to load the bases with two out. Magoon scored from third when Dobbs beat out a grounder to short for an infield single. Beckley then grounded back to the pitcher to end the inning.

In the top of the sixth, the Orphans loaded the bases with one out. Taylor beat out an infield single to pick up an RBI. Childs grounded into the 4-2 fielder's choice for the second out before Chance delivered a bases-clearing triple.

In the bottom of the sixth, Magoon knocked in a run with a two-out double.

After six: Chicago 6 Cincinnati 2.

In the top of the ninth, the Orphans loaded the bases with nobody out. Chance scored from third when Green grounded into the 3-6 fielder's choice. With runners at the corners and one out, Doc Newton took the mound for the Reds and he prevented any more runs from scoring.

The Orphans went on to record their first win of the season, helped in part by 3 errors committed by the Reds in the game.

Final score: Chicago 7 Cincinnati 2.
