Pete Filson White Sox 1986

Pete Filson was a left-hander, a Yankees draft pick who went to the Twins in '82 as part of the deal for Butch Wynegar. Filson had a couple of middling good years for the Twinkies as a left handed long man and spot starter, but when he pitched poorly early in '86 Minnesota traded him to the White Sox, for whom he pitched even worse (7.83 ERA in 11 and something innings). Pete went back to the Yankees briefly in '87 and wrapped up his career with the 1990 Royals, posting career statistics which hovered right around replacement level. Filson's time with the White Sox was so short that pictures of him in the Sox '82 Killer Bee kit have so far been unobtainable. Well, the Fritsch Cards people are now offering a postcard of Filson with the Chisox.

And another one bites the dust....
