Game 33: St. Louis Browns vs. Boston Americans

It is tough to win when your offense only generates 3 hits, and today was no exception. The St. Louis Browns (17-16) topped the Boston Americans (13-20) by a 3 to 2 score.

Andy Coakly (4-6) limited the Americans to 2 earned runs on 3 hits, 2 walks, and a hit batsman to pick up the win; Game Score of 73. Noodles Hahn was saddled with the loss after serving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits, 2 walks, and 2 wild pitches; Game score of 63.

The St. Louis offense was powered by Ed Phelps (1 for 4, Double, 2 Runs, RBI), Patsy Donovan (2 for 4, Run), and Charlie Babb (2 for 3, 2 RBIs, Walk). The Americans were led by Noodles Hahn (1 for 1, Triple, Run, 2 Walks) and Fred Clarke (1 for 4, Double, Run).
