An overall solid performance on both sides of the plate allowed the Boston Americans (14-21) to get the 6 to 2 win over the St. Louis Browns (18-17).

Jesse Tannehill (4-5) tossed the ball well, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits to lower his season ERA to 2.90 and finish with a Game Score of 71. Tom Hughes (5-3) took the loss due to surrendering 6 earned runs on 15 hits and 1 walk; Game Score of 31.
