National League Player of the Week
The #2 overall selection in the most recent draft, Red Ames was viewed as a pitcher who should make an immediate impact. Not only has Ames lived up to the lofty expectations thus far (7-4 record with a 1.62 ERA), he strung together an outstanding week to take home the National League Player of the Week honors. In picking up his first PofW award, Ames posted a 2-1 record with a 0.00 ERA in 24 innings of play that resulted in 0.8 WAR and 1.2 WPA.
