American League Player of the Week
Charlie Hickman has the makings of being a special player. The Detroit Tiger infielder had things in synch last week, as he took home American League Player of the Week honors. Hickman swatted the ball to the tune of a .520 batting average (13 for 25), with a Double, Triple, 3 Runs, 5 RBIs, Walk, and 3 Stolen Bases which was good for a slash line of .520/.538/.640 that generated a 251 OPS+, 240 wRC+, 0.25 WPA, and 0.6 WAR. This is the 3rd time that Hickman has taken home PofW honors.
