As mentioned, the mighty Henry Aaron, who ended the 1974 season tied with the babe as the MLB's all-time HR leader on 714, has decided enough is enough and announced his retirement.

All but the most cynical soul see this as a fabulous gesture and statement for the equality of the races. As he has done throughout his illustrious career, Henry shows himself a class act here.
