2305 Nuka Cup

The Round Robin is now complete with eight teams remaining in the 2305 Nuka Cup Tournament. What we can conclude from this new format is that the best teams tend to find their way to the top, while the teams that have struggled in recent years could not maintain their winning ways. Not to say there were no surprises either at the top or the bottom of the standings. There most certainly were, as you will see below.

Group A - Roxbury

Roxbury and Starlight at the top and maintained that position throughout the group standings.

Since the Rad Sox swept the Lady Killers in their series, Roxbury finishes the Group A standings as the #1 seed from the group, while Starlight will be the #2 seed. The Lady Killer entered the tournament as the fourth seed in Group A.

The Killers and Easy Town ended up switching their rankings with their positions, while both Oberland and Bunker Hill predictably ended up at the bottom of the group.

Group B - Nordhagen Beach

The host Party Boys fell behind University Point after a series loss to Lexington, but they took care of business against the Deathclaws to claim Group B. The Claws only series loss came to the Boys, so they will be the #2 seed.

That means that Nordhagen Beach will host Group A's Starlight in the Quarterfinals, while the Deathclaws will visit Roxbury in a heavy South Charles Association clash.

Vault 81, who is expected to be back in the playoff hunt in 2305, was perhaps the biggest surprise in the group, not winning their first series until this week against Egret, which is trending towards being in contention for the #1 overall pick in the 2305 Rookie Draft.

Group C - County Crossing

We already knew that the host Bloodbugs had clinched this group. What we did not know is what could happen with there being multiple scenarios in place.

As it turned out, the fifth-seeded Salem Witch Hats emerged as the surprise team, winning three of their series, including the one that counted most, a 2-1 series win over Atom. The Cats needed the Hats to fall to Fort Hagen, which was the surprise sixth-place team in Group C. Some think the Silver Shroud are trending down, but they still have a talented team that surprisingly only won a series against sixth-seeded Quincy.

Group D - Jamaica Plain

There were lots of opportunities for chaos in this group, but FHE took care of business against Spectacle Island, helping the third-seeded Yao Guai to clinch the top seed.

The race for second-place, then came on the results of the other two series, with the host Jamaica Plain Red Rockets sweeping second-seeded Sunshine Tidings and the fourth-seeded Concord Radstags handling sixth-seeded The Slog. Due to Jamaica Plain's series victory over the Stags, the hosts earned the second spot in the Quarterfinals.

That means FHE will host Group C's Salem in the Quarterfinals, while the Rockets will travel to County Crossing in a battle of what was almost 2304's Sole Survivor Series.

2305 Top Prospects List

The following is a list of the CBO's top prospects entering the 2305 season. The Slog's 3B Plain Morris is the top overall prospect, followed by LF Ken Debate (Starlight), SP Jalep Temper (Finch Farm), 3B Sun Crockett (Sunshine Tidings), and 3B Hazmatt Zuniga (Jamaica Plain).
