I have posted about this previously but my concerns remain and so I am going to bump this issue so that hopefully someone can at least take a look at it and, if not fix it in a patch or a future version, at least allay my concerns somewhat.
Ever since 24 was released with its new (and fantastic, aside from this problem) screen setup options, I have been seeing this more and more.
I, like many OOTP users, have multiple saves operating on the same version of the game. What is happening is that, if I switch from one to another, settings from the one I have left seem to bleed into the one I have switched to.
For example, I just switched as described. The team home page of the newly-opened save looks like this on first opening:
Problem is, the colours for this club should look like this:
In the first screenshot, the newly-opened save has brought the settings from the recently-closed one across.
A small, cosmetic issue on the surface, that I'll grant, and easily remedied by quickly going into the settings page and coming out again. Still, it shouldn't be happening and has wider ramifications that I believe all stem from the same problem, which I believe is the game treating local settings as global ones.
The main bugbear for me is how the various screen setups you have applied simply don't hold if you go from one save to another and that means having to spend time redoing them, EG:
To be forced to do this every time you move between saves is incredibly annoying and, I have to believe, completely unnecessary.
What concerns me as much, if not more, is what effect this "bleed" is having behind the scenes. Who's to say other settings that I haven't noticed or under the hood ones I can't see such as LTMs aren't being glitched? I even suspect this might be responsible for why player ratings seem to jump about when you leave and enter saves, as has been reported around the boards and I have seen for myself.
So, as I said, I'd dearly love one of the devs to hop on here and at least give me their quick thoughts on the validity of my concerns. In an ideal world, I'd like this fixed at some point. It is
killing my UE with this otherwise magnificent product.
Many thanks
