The Detroit Tigers announced today that they reached a trade deal with the Boston Beaneaters. In parting ways with pitcher Togie Pittinger, the Tigers received in return 17-year old 3rd base prospect (#51 ranked) George Moriarty. The Beaneaters pick up a 2-time 20 game winner in Pittinger as they make a push for the NL title, while it is clear Detroit is retooling for the future.
