It is not an easy task to pick the best players for the annual baseball classic -- the All-Star Game. It is not possible to please everybody. Whether we agree or not, they have been chosen ... and here they are. The rosters for this year's Commonwealth Baseball Organization All-Star Game have been announced.
For the North Charles Association, the roster includes:

The NCA manager, Crow Guai of County Crossing, conceded that not every deserving player is rewarded with a spot on the roster. "Every year," he said, "someone is disappointed to be left out. This year's no different -- too many good players, not enough roster spots."

How would you like to manage a team with more star players than you can play? It wouldn't be an easy chore. That's the dilemma facing the two managers at the annual Boston Minor Union All-Star classic -- how to get all the talented All-Stars in the game. But it's a joy for the fans -- to see all their favorite stars on one field at the same time.

Justin Sauerkraut said the annual all-star game is mostly for the fans to enjoy, but the players have a lot of fun too.
"It's a great time to get that much talent on one ball diamond," he said. "You feel fortunate to even be part of it."
Sauerkraut wasn't just a part of the game, he was named the game MVP, as his Massachusetts Association All-Stars won 9-8 over the Commonwealth Association All-Stars.
Sauerkraut went 2 for 3 in the game to earn the nod as the game's best.

It's All-Star Game time -- time for the superstars to shine! Every year Greater Boston Rookie League takes a break in the schedule to play the annual All-Star Game. It's a battle of the superstars -- the North League All-Stars versus the South League All-Stars. The All-Star Game will spotlight the best hitters, the best pitchers and the best fielders, all doing battle against one another, all trying to prove their league is best.

All-Star South Boston Patriots' shortstop Hotstick Reynolds had a night to remember.
Not only did he take the field with the game's best players, he was also a huge factor in the 7-4 South League victory over the North League All-Stars.
"We had a meeting before the game, and I was struck by the talent in the room. Old stars, young stars, it's a game I'll never forget," Reynolds said. "I talked to a few of my friends from back home, and they told me to go out and win the game for them. I'm sure they'll be thrilled."
