A barely decent showing by Noodles Hahn and some timely hitting led to the Boston Americans (46-41) topping the Washington Senators (38-49) by a score of 4 to 3.

Hahn (10-9) picked up the win, permitting 3 earned runs on 12 hits, 1 walk, and 1 wild pitch to finish with a Game Score of 50. Doc Scanlan (12-10) was tagged with the loss after allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits, 6 walks, and 1 hit batsman; Game Score 58.

While the Americans had a difficult time getting the ball in play, they made the most of those instances with Fred Clark (2 for 5, Run, RBI), Chick Stahl (1 for 4, Double, 2 RBIs, Walk, Stolen Base), and Jesse Hoffmeister (2 for 3, Double, Walk) having success.
