The Philadelphia Athletics (56-37) remain atop of the MLB Power Rankings, but the New York Highlanders (55-38), St. Louis Cardinals (52-41), and Boston Beaneaters (49-44) are each trying to narrow the gap. The Boston Americans (49-44) have moved up to 5th place, while the New York Giants (35-58) occupy the last spot. It is odd that the NL leading Chicago Cubs are ranked 7th.
