A difficult extra-innings loss for the hometown fans to deal with! In a 13-inning game that took nearly 4 hours to play, the Cleveland Naps (52-51) squeaked by the Boston Americans (55-48) by a 4 to 3 score. With Boston's loss and a Highlanders victory, the Americans are now 7 games out of the top spot and the Magic # is down to 36.

Both starting pitchers went the distance, though it will be interesting to see if they have any feeling left in their arms after tossing a combined 404 pitches.
