Linden defends Pouliot in post-game scrum
October 30th, 2017 -
After dropping a 5-2 decision to Dallas at home to fall to 6-5-0 on the year, Trevor Linden faced the media and stuck up for his young powerplay quarterback. Pouliot was minus two on the night and members of the press were critical but Linden stood his ground, pointing out that from his coaches' perspective Pouliot had done his job well and they were happy with most of his decisions and plays and positioning all night. Pouliot had an assist and was -2 with five shots on goal and four blocks in almost twenty minutes of icetime. He has had a good start to the season, playing a top four role and quarterbacking the top powerplay unit, putting up four goals and seven points through his first ten games.
