Vegas trades for another Vancouver defenseman

The Canucks are being rewarded for their glut of minor league defenseman, with Frankie Corrado the latest winner of an opportunity for NHL icetime with the Vegas Golden Knights. Corrado failed to make Vancouver out of camp with the surprisingly good showings that Sergachev and Andersson had and made it through waivers to Utica where he has been playing well but not seeing any opportunities to be called back up to Vancouver. Well, Jim Benning of Vegas called and offered up recent draft pick Eeli Tolvanen in exchange for the blueliner and Trevor Linden jumped on it, picking up another young asset for a veteran who had been surpassed on the organizational depth chart. The 18 year old Tolvanen signed a contract shortly after being drafted and came over from Europe to play in the AHL, where he has 12 goals and 27 points in 50 games.
