Game 114: Boston Americans vs. Chicago White Sox

A nice pitching performance by Noodles Hahn and timely hitting of Chick Stahl led the Boston Americans (63-51) to a 2 to 1 victory over the Chicago White Sox (48-66). The win, coupled to a New York Highlanders loss, moved the Americans to just 3-games out of the top spot.

Noodles Hahn (15-11) picked up the win by limiting the opposition to just 1 earned run on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6 on a total of 130 pitches; Game Score 71. Fred Glade (12-18) ended up on the wrong side of the ledger, as he was tagged with the loss after allowing 2 earned runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 3 on a total of 124 pitches; Game Score 64.

The Boston hitting-attack was led by Chick Stahl (2 for 4, Double, Triple, Run) and Dave Brain (2 for 4, RBI, Stolen Base). John Anderson (2 for 4, Double), Hughie Jennings (2 for 4, RBI), and John Dobbs (1 for 1, Walk) played well in the loss.

Player of the Game: Noodles Hahn (Season: #14 / Career: #59)
