Game 119: St. Louis Browns vs. Boston Americans
A nail-biter of a game saw the Boston Americans (66-53) overcome a deficit with a 2-run 9th inning to prevail over the St. Louis Browns (52-67) by a 6 to 5 score. The Americans remain 4 games out of the top spot; Magic #18 and 9.8% chance to make the playoffs.

Tom Hughes (10-18) was hit with the loss after serving up 6 runs (5 earned) on 14 hits, 3 walks, and 3 hit batsman; Game Score 36.
At the plate, Dave Brain (2 for 4, Double, RBI), Danny Shay (1 for 1, Run, 2 Hit by Pitch, Stolen Base), Chick Stahl (2 for 4, Run, RBI, Walk) played well for Boston. The Browns offense was led by Bill Hassamaer (2 for 5, Double, Triple, 2 Runs, RBI), Kip Selbach (2 for 5, Triple, RBI), and Ed Phelps (2 for 2, Run, Walk).
