-"Use Auto-Calc Modifiers for Accuracy (Recommended)" AND
-"Automatically Control In-Game Engine (only recommended for minors/feeders)"
I'm 4 years into the sim - which one would think would give enough time to do all the re-calcuating/re-calibrating after each year...and this year the offense is probably the worst it's been.
For my AAA and AA for example, pitchers with ERAs into the 5.00's are still above average for ERA+ (meaning, league adjusted, a 5 plus ERA is still better than "normal").
This seems like a problem OOTP hasn't addressed, surprisingly & disappointingly, being such a game dedicated to realism.
Is it an issue that I'm doing historical? Is there something else I need to check other than what it sets for default, and the 2 boxes I checked which supposedly help with that? Why does OOTP always have this issue? Do they not know it's an issue? Or is it somehow not easy to fix?

Automatically Control In-Game Engine does not work well with the default league totals IMO.
I just use the default minor league totals and I check "Use Auto-Calc Modifiers for Accuracy". Leave "Automatically Control In-Game Engine" turned OFF.
Most of my minor leagues have LgERA of 4.00ish and LgAVG of .250ish most seasons
