Braves won in five games against the Indians in the 1872 World Series, while the Federal-Continental Showdown went in favor of the Rangers over the Butchers in the maximum seven games. I was expecting the Indians to do better against the Braves than they did, but as I said earlier, Boston was a very strong team in the NL this year. So I'm not too surprised that they beat the Indians in five, although I was expecting the World Series to go at least to six games, if not to the full maximum of seven here, in any case.
As for the Angels and Cardinals, in order to top the CL and NL, respectively, there's still probably a good deal more work I'll need to do to get them into serious playoff contention here, I think. The Angels will have a better draft position, no doubt, in the AFBU draft than the Cardinals will have in the MLB draft, due to their placements in their overall leagues for 1872, so maybe the Angels can find some good players to help build their club up with easier than the Cardinals might be able to this time around. CD out.
