Honestly, I have no explanation for the complete and utter collapse of the Boston Americans. In the latest defeat (making it 6 consecutive losses and 10 of the latest 11 games), the Americans (69-63) fell to the Philadelphia Athletics (73-59) by a 7 to 3 score.

Cy Falkenberg (14-13) was the winning pitcher today, as he permitted 3 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits, 3 walks, and 1 wild pitch; Game Score 64.
