Awards for September and the regular season and standings at the end of the 1903 season
Regular season awards:
-CF Cy Seymour of the New York Highlanders wins the AL Best Batter award with 7 home runs, 88 RBIs, and 85 runs scored.
-RF Honus Wagner of the Pittsburgh Pirates wins the NL Best Batter award with 4 home runs, 74 RBIs, and 102 runs scored.
-SP Red Ames of the Brooklyn Superbas wins the NL Triple Crown with a 33-7 record, a 1.62 ERA, and 254 strikeouts.
Awards for September:
1B Roger Bresnahan of the New York Highlanders wins the AL Batter of the Month Award with 0 home runs, 11 RBIs, and 24 runs scored.
LF Ed Delahanty of the Philadelphia Phillies wins the NL Batter of the Month Award with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs, and 10 runs scored.
SP Clark Griffith of the Boston Americans wins the AL Pitcher of the Month Award with a 5-1 record and a 1.69 ERA.
SP Jesse Tannehill of the Pittsburgh Pirates wins the NL Pitcher of the Month Award with a 5-1 record and a 1.00 ERA.
SP Jake Weimer of the Chicago White Sox wins the AL Rookie of the Month Award with a 4-1 record and a 1.18 ERA.
SP Ed Killian of the Pittsburgh Pirates wins the NL Rookie of the Month Award with a 3-3 record and a 1.64 ERA.
And, at the end of the season, it's the Philadelphia Athletics (81-59) vs. the Brooklyn Superbas (96-44) in the World Series!!!
