-St. Louis Cardinals Ca Pop Schriver retired from professional baseball.
-Chicago White Sox Ca Joe Sugden becomes a free-agent.
-The Philadelphia Phillies signed manager Shawn Vos to a 4-year, $1,075 per year contract.
-The Detroit Tigers signed manager Chris Lodge to a 5-year, $835 per year contract.
-The Cincinnati Reds signed manager Matt King to a 3-year, $340 per year contract.
-The Boston Beaneaters signed manager Bob Valentine to a 5-year, $605 per year contract.
