-The Chicago White Sox fired manager Clark Griffith and signed manager Chris Wheatley to a 3-year, $710 per year contract.
-St. Louis Cardinals general manager Vernon Parker leaves the team, his contract was not renewed. They then signed general manager Mike Chapman to a 4-year, $765 per year contract.
-Cincinnati Reds 1B Jake Beckley, 3B Charlie Irwin, RP Whitey Guese, Ca Heinie Peitz, and RP Sam McMackin retired from professional baseball.
