-No one was elected to the Hall of Fame from the class of 1913, although Bid McPhee came close.
-The Pittsburgh Pirates traded 35-year-old CF Tommy Leach and 23-year-old SP Lefty James to the Washington Senators, getting 23-year-old 2B Ray Morgan and 19-year-old RF Joe Schultz in return.
-The Chicago White Sox traded 36-year-old CL Roy Patterson to the Detroit Tigers, getting 24-year-old SHS Marty Berghammer in return.
-The Cleveland Naps traded 26-year-old 2B Larry Doyle to the Boston Braves, getting 46-year-old CF Billy Hamilton in return.
-The Detroit Tigers traded 23-year-old RF Ted Cather to the Washington Senators, getting 36-year-old RP Mordecai Brown in return.
-The New York Yankees failed to sign 8th round draft pick Sam Covington.
-The New York Giants failed to sign 8th round draft pick Josh Billings.
