-The Chicago White Sox traded 30-year-old Ca Mike Simon, 21-year-old 2B Hal Janvrin, and 23-year-old RP Frank Scanlan to the Philadelphia Phillies, getting 23-year-old LF Johnny Johnston and 24-year-old CF Ned Crompton in return.
-The Cincinnati Reds traded 22-year-old 3B Charlie Deal to the Chicago Cubs, getting 37-year-old 2B Germany Schaefer and 23-year-old LF Ernie Walker in return.
-The Cincinnati Reds traded 24-year-old RP Ed Warner and 23-year-old RP Charlie Becker to the Brooklyn Robins, getting 31-year-old RP Red Ames in return.
