Kind of a weak draft class overall, at least in terms of depth when it came our turn to pick at #28. All 20-80 scale references are for potential unless indicated otherwise.
Gurrola: A 20-year-old JuCo OF from Indiana, he has good bat-to-ball skills with 70 contact, 55 power and 65 avoid Ks, as well as potential 80 gap power and a 55 eye. He's also very fast (70 speed) and could be a plus defensive OF (70 LF, 50 CF, 60 RF).
Winters: A high-school kid with big power (70) and good contact (65) and a possible 55 at the hot corner.
Gallardo: An intriguing high-schooler from New York with potentially elite bat-to-ball skills (80 contact, 80 avoid Ks) and 65 power though he swings at everything (30 eye). He's also not much of a fielder (40 at 1B and the OF corners) so he'll really have to hit.
Fulce: Hailing from the famous Crenshaw High (Darryl Strawberry's alma mater), he's a potential plus fielder in the OF corners to go with 60 contact, 55 power and an elite 80 eye.
Moncayo: A 17-year-old from Puerto Rico, he offers a potential big bat behind the plate (60 contact, 65 power), though his defensive ceiling for now is 45 so the bat will be his ticket to the bigs.
