The sixth starter never pitches in spring training
In Spring Training up to OOTP 22, the six starting pitchers as defined by the Spring Training roster started in order; since OOTP 23, the starting pitchers selected from the bullpen have often been inserted. As a result, the #6 starting pitcher's starting opportunity is always skipped because there will be enough pitching interval for the #1 starting pitcher.
