Offseason Begins
The 2306 season is now complete with the County Crossing Bloodbugs the new champions of the CBO. Now the offseason begins where teams will start making changes for the 2307 season.
Let us update some of the upcoming events.
Teams are now free to make trades to try to improve their CBO teams or beef up their minors. Rumors are swirling that there are a number of big deals in play, including some all-stars.
We also have a number of other changes, including the Finch Farm Four Leafs in the process of moving their headquarters to Nahant where they will become the Celtics. Minor league teams will also be the Finch Farm Shamrocks, the Brockton Irish, and the Lowell Leprechauns.
A few other swaps in place for minor league teams include Roxbury getting the rights to Revere Beach becoming the Shoremen, which Nahant used before. Diamond City will not also get the Clifton Vertibirds team that was part of the Finch Farm franchise before. Bunker Hill and Concord switched their BMU and GBRL teams, with the 75ers now having the rights to the Mayoral Shelter Tricentennials and the South Boston Patriots, while the Radstags get the rights to Arlington Caps and the Westing Estate Gunslingers.
Winter meetings will determine if there are any rules changes or planning for future updates. The CBO has plans to expand, so teams will spend part of their offseason preparing for that expansion, which could be as early as the 2308 season, according to Vice Commissioner Jimmy LaRue.
The draft will be held on November 5 with the first five currently projected to be CF Missile Crews (Goodneighbor), 3B Gavin Deux-Gas (The Slog), 3B Jacob Tarberry (Lexington), 1B Winslow Beaver (FHE), and 3B Keg Gutterson (Quincy). The mock draft is below with the official 1st round order.
