It is safe to assume that both County Crossing and Roxbury have the skills to return to the SSS next season. For the Bugs, I think they are quite similar to University Point in their build where they can score with any team but their pitching needs some higher-level players. Gavin Eviritts was their ace in 2306 but benefited heavily from run support with his 19 wins despite a 4.11 ERA. That nearly matches his career average of 4.10. Interestingly, his best year for ERA, 2302 with a 3.22, was also his worst season record-wise since County Crossing became a good team.
With that said, the team scored 713 runs during the regular season and their pitching was quite good in the postseason, including holding the Sox to one run in each of the last two games, as well as that masterful series against a talented Sunshine Tidings team.
So, will the Bloodbugs be the favorites in 2307? I am not sure what PAM will say, but I would say that they have as good as a chance as any to repeat with the stellar offense that they have.
