Draft Analysis

Although he was picked 4th overall by the Wild Gatorclaws, SP Hangover McNulty (Mad Mulligan) is considered the top prospect by OSA scouts for pitcher success. McNulty has a three-pitch repertoire with his fastball being his best, though he does need to improve his control.

The 1st overall pick was SP Carl Speedboat of the Angry Anaconda Godmodes. Speedboat has four pitches with a strong fastball that tops out at around 98 MPH. Speedboat needs to work hard on his control for both avoiding walks and home runs.

At the 10th pick by the Dark Bloodworms, 2B Kimon Greggs (Wixon Shovels) was the first non-pitcher taken. Greggs is a speedy player who could work his way into a leadoff spot on the Bloodworms. He is an all-around IF but may be best at 2B in the NWL.

SP Cheese Wagstaff (Starport Nuka Hubologists) was the first player taken by a Vim! League team: Eden Meadows Anglers at 2nd overall. Wagstaff has three pitches with his fastball being his best. He needs to work on better movement on his pitches, especially his splitter.

Outside of the 1st round, there are no real players of interest. Many players are expected to be cut in favor of leftover players from the CBO draft.
