2307 Nuka Cup
We are through the first week of the Nuka Cup, and one team is undefeated thus so far, while two teams have yet to win a game.
One regional is evenly split of three teams winning both of their series thus far, and three teams looking for their first series win. Only one #1 seed has lost a series thus far, and just as many #6 seeds (two) have won a series as #2 seeds have lost. Let's look at a breakdown of each regional.
Group A - County Crossing
Last season, the University Point Deathclaws were the defending champions but came out cold in the Nuka Cup. This season, the County Crossing Bloodbugs are the defending champions. That means, the past two CBO champions are together in this regional. Well, two quickly reveal, both are 2-0 in their series thus far.
The #2 Deathclaws have yet to lose, sweeping #5 Bunker Hill and then sweeping #4 Diamond City. County Crossing is also 2-0, sweeping #6 Goodneighbor and then winning two of three versus the 75ers.
Nordhagen Beach and the Hancocks are tied for third at 1-1 with the Party Boys sweeping the Swatters and then losing the series to Goodneighbor, which means technically that the Hancocks are the #3 seed. Right now, teams are ordered by their overall record in the standings.
Diamond City and Bunker Hill each lost their first two series and need to basically win their last three series to have a chance to move on. The Swatters have yet to win a game.
Group B - Vault 81
This is our regional with three 2-0 teams and three 0-2 teams, with the undefeated teams being the top three seeds. Both #3 Oberland and the #1 Dwellers have gone 5-1 overall, while #2 Easy Town is 4-2.
#6 The Slog is 2-4 overall, currently putting them in 4th place. All of the Ghouls, Fort Hagen, and Quincy need to win the rest of their series to have a chance to move on. Should any of them drop a series, the Round Robin Round will end their tournament.
Group C - Roxbury
Two SCA teams, #1 Roxbury and #3 Jamaica Plain, are the only two teams to start out 2-0. The Rad Sox swept #6 Lexington and then beat #5 Atom 2 out of 3. For the Red Rockets, they stopped #4 Concord by winning 2 of 3 and then swept the Synths who have yet to win a game.
The Radstags and #2 Starlight are each 1-1. The Killers beat the Cats 2 out of 3 but then dropped the series to the Stags.
Group D - Sunshine Tidings
#3 Salem is the only team to start out 2-0 in what looks to be a challenging regional. The Witch Hats beat #4 Egret 2 out of 3 and then beat #6 FHE 2 out of 3 to go 4-2 overall.
The Ninjas are the only team yet to win a series, losing to both the Hats and then getting swept by #2 Spectacle Island. All other teams are 1-1 with the Reapers and #1 Sunshine Tidings both 4-2 overall.
