1994 EPB Hall of Fame
Eurasian Professional Baseball didn’t induct anyone into its Hall of Fame in 1994 for the first blank ballot since 1988. Closer Maksym Badlo barely missed the cut in his debut with 65.6%. LF Emin Ismayilov was also less than a point away with 65.3% for his fourth ballot. SP Yevhen Selin also had a respectable debut at 61.7%. Also above 50% was SP Maksim Ekstrem at 59.8% on his sixth try and 1B Ilkin Hasanov at 54.3% in his second ballot.

Dropped following ten failed ballots was 1B Novruz Toshev, who had an 18-year career with four teams. He had 2566 hits, 1332 runs, 396 doubles, 528 home runs, 1596 RBI, a .261/.311/.491 slash, and 75.8 WAR. Toshev also had two Silver Sluggers, one Gold Glove, and won titles with both Yekaterinburg in 1970 and St. Petersburg in 1977. Despite nice accumulations, he very rarely was a league leader and many voters dismissed him as a compiler. He peaked at 48.7% on his fourth ballot and ended at 20.9%. Still, he’s the only eligible EPB player to cross 1500 career RBI to get left out, still sitting seventh best as of 2037.
