2307 Nuka Cup - Quarterfinals

The Round Robin round has been effective in getting the best teams more practice. This year, only one #1 seed is out (Sunshine Tidings) and two of the #2 seeds (Easy Town and Spectacle Island) are out.

In are three of the #1 seeds (County Crossing, Roxbury, and Vault 81), two #2s (University Point and Starlight), two #3s (Oberland and Salem), and one #5 (Nahant).

March 16: Vault 81 9, County Crossing 7

The Dwellers continued their success, outfiring the Bloodbugs in a tight late game. Entering the 7th, Vault 81 trailed by one, but scored two to take the lead. The Bugs tied the game again in the 8th before RF Joe Rathmann's two-rbi single in the bottom of the 8th to clinch the series. SS End Yamada was the Game MVP, going 2 for 3 with a grand slam, a run, and five RBI. Five County Crossing players hit home runs, four off Vault 81 starter Vince McCort.

Oberland T-51s (Vault 81 Regional 2) at University Point Deathclaws(County Crossing Regional 1) at

The T-51s have entered the conversation as a contender in 2307, facing the team that won it all just two seasons ago. Oberland's only series loss came against the host team, Vault 81, while University Point had four sweeps in their regional with the lone series loss coming against Nordhagen Beach.

March 14: University Point 12, Oberland 6

1B Barker Cocoa went off, going 4 for 5 with two home runs, three runs, and six RBI to lead his team. SS Austin Engill added a solo home run for the Deathclaws. CF Voodoo Cerrano hit a two-run shot and RF Base McAndrews hit a solo shot for the T-51s.

March 15: University Point 3, Oberland 0

The Deathclaws earned their way to the Semifinals by winning both games. SP Alex Alexson pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits with a walk and four strikeouts. RF Tomas Jones was 3 for 4 with a home run, a run, and three RBI.

March 16: University Point 4, Oberland 2

Starlight Killers (Roxbury Regional 2) at Salem Witch Hats (Sunshine Tidings Regional 1)

Both teams had good years in 2307 but neither was quite good enough to win it all. The Hats missed the playoffs, finishing as the 6th seed in the NCA. However, they took care of business in the Nuka Cup, winning their first four series to win the regional before dropping their last series to Egret. For the Killers, they were not quite capable of overcoming the powerful Rad Sox, but they were good enough to earn the #2 spot in the Roxbury Regional.

March 14: Salem 5, Starlight 3

LF Dan Erb hit a three-run home and added another RBI in a tight game. The Witch Hats had five total hits, all singles, with all three runs coming in the top of the 6th.

March 15: Starlight 7, Salem 1

Two Killers hitters had big games with RF Hurr Lee Reyes leading the way, going 4 for 4 with a home run, a walk, two runs, and a strikeout. CF Glenn Higinbotham was 3 for 5 with a triple, a home run, two runs, and three strikeouts.

March 16: Salem 12, Starlight 7

The Witch Hats clinched the series with a big offensive output. Rookie 3B Booth Larson had the biggest day, going 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, a walk, two runs, and six RBI. 1B Needham Tickler was 4 for 5 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Nahant Celtics (Sunshine Tidings Regional 2) at Roxbury Rad Sox (Roxbury Regional 1)

Roxbury joined Vault 81 as the only two teams to win all five series in the Round Robin Round. The Rad Sox have also won both Nuka Cups in the new format, looking to three-peat while also looking to overcome their Sole Survivor Series loss to the Bloodbugs. Nahant is the "new kid in town" after the move from Finch Farm, so the fans in Nahant have to be excited to be here and are hoping to get a major upset.

March 14: Roxbury 5, Nahant 3

SP Urm Rehfeldt pitched 8.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Andy Helium came on to get the final out for the save. C Biddy Swenson hit a two-run home run for the Sox's only extra-base hit. 1B Justin Stagg and PH Will Ashfire each hit solo shots.

March 15: Roxbury 6, Nahant 1

The Rad Sox enter the Semifinals yet again after defeating the Celtics two straight games. SP Whokill Poole pitched the complete game, allowing one unearned run on three hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Rookie 1B Sum Downie was 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, two runs, and two RBI. Nahant managed just three hits, all singles.

March 16: Roxbury 4, Nahant 1

The Rad Sox held down the Nahant bats once again in securing the sweep. SP Chet Arthur allowed just one earned run with four hits, a walk, and five strikeouts in 6.2 innings. 1B Sum Downie and CF Ben Pawlak each hit a home run for the Sox.
