Having a volunteer do the work needed to provide AI with enough data to work with would be an interesting compromise, although a. it’s still nowhere near inexpensive enough to send out to every single user unless OOTPD wanted to jack up the price of the game way, way higher than it is now, and b. even that level has its own ethical and moral issues (what if someone gets the AI to say something gross and posts it online? What steps does that volunteer need to take to ensure their identity will now not be stolen?).
