every year or maybe 70-80 MIL games force them to play a new position in the player strategey screen...by the time they are approaching ML it shouldn't be an issue except for the ones that develop SUPER fast.

Sometimes i allow need to dictate waht they learn.. e.g. if i have too many decent LF at a particular level i'll put the multi-position guy somewhere else and learn lf later. it can help make sure the right players get the most playing time.

This is the type of hand-tailored approach i will only do for aplayer that has use in the ML .. .so, very few of total mil players. Keep a shortlist.. those are the ones you want to be more responsive to their development and promotions... let the MiL filler sandbag a bit unless necessary as part of musical chairs of more important prospects moving around. Good teams promote happier players.. one less thing to rehabilitate if they make the ML.
