Cards news: February 1 -- Andrus signed to minor-league deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have signed veteran middle infielder Elvis Andrus to a minor-league contract.
Andrus, 36, spent the 2024 season in Baltimore where in 109 games/105 starts, he hit .237 with four home runs and 41 RBIs.
He broke into the majors in 2009 with Texas, and played with the Rangers through 2020.
Since that time, Andrus has played for Oakland (2021-22), the White Sox (2022-23) and the Orioles.
A career .268 hitter, Andrus has 106 career home runs and 816 RBIs.
