2015 UEBA Season

The 2015 season was a historic one for a repeat champion! With no international tournament this year, all focus was on the domestic leagues and the Champions League.

English Premier League

Helping to power Munich to the league title was French CF, Franck Ribery. In 92 G Ribery batted .395/.484/.707, 143 H, 19 HR, 63 RBI, and 62 BB.

On the mound, Italian SP Gigi Buffon, who joined Bayern from Czech Europa League side Sparta Prague in mid-2014. Gigi continued the pitching dominance that won the World Cup for Italy. A 1.07 ERA, 156 K, 14 BB, and an 11-3 record in 16 G.

Spanish La Liga

After two years without a League title, Real Madrid reclaimed the La Liga crown while Barca prevailed in the Copa del Rey, inverting the 2014 results. Madrid beat their Catalan rivals by only a single game. Madrid finished 95-19 to Barca's 94-20.

Messi wins his first MVP award with a .512/.581/.921 season. In 477 AB he had 37 HR, 244 H, 157 RBI, 95 SB, and 58 2B.

French Ligue 1

Fictitious pitcher Ewold Koper of Nice wins the league's golden arm. The Dutchman went 15-4 in 28 G, 205 K, 32 BB, 1.99 ERA.

European Champions League

Manchester City claim the treble, winning their domestic cup and league and the Champions League title too. City dominated the group stage with a 17-1 record. They would face the 2012 winners Chelsea in the final 6-3.

City's treble season comes after a league title in 2014, and cup victories in 2014 and 2013.

Messi, meanwhile, adds to his trophy case with the Champions League MVP, his second in a row. He had .465/.593/.949 campaign, with 12 HR. Barca and Messi went out in the semifinals to eventual champions, City.

Gigi Buffon took home the Golden Arm for his 8-0 campaign in which he had 1.44 ERA in 62.2 IP. Munich dominated the group stage going 18-0 but were swept 2-0 by Athletic Bilbao in the Round of 16.

Next year the Euros return! Hosted by France, England will look to repeat as champions, while Italy will want to follow up the world title with the European crown!
