Ok so here is the interesting screen, single season home runs. Now given that I have boosted the HR yearly totals by around 30-40% you would expect players to have a 40% rise in HR totals, and you can see that in many cases that is what happens. A guy who it 34 hits 48.
But when you see the top end the big HR numbers tend to rarely cross 40 (and recall that beyond Ruth there were a number of 50 HR guys in the 1930s)
But it is Ruth specifically. He is hitting at a maybe 15% higher clip than expected, while only once crossing 60 in a season. Given that the totals are 30-40% higher, you would expect him to hit over 70 several times.

So there is an indication that those on the real high high scale of any attribute might not get as big a bonus as others a bit lower will get.

Notice you had Bill Dickey hit 55 HR in 1937, Jim Bottomly hit 60 in 1929.

Just something to consider of how the game is structured .
This would come into play for those guys who play random debut, and have a variety of players from various eras...though I REALLY LIKE how they have normalized ratings over the history of play.
THERE IS NO CRITICISM in any of these posts, I LOVE what OOTP has done with the game, this is just me testing things to learn how the engine is working now with the historical model, so that when I get to playing full on games next week, I have an idea of how to set up the totals and modifiers to reflect the way I would like the historical world to play out.

I will other shots of star players later in the day...mostly, for everyone except Ruth the game looks bang on.

Here are the shots
