Yes. All leagues will have to change ratings from the old model to the new.
My league that went from real to fictional through transition many versions ago. It imported fine as far as I can tell. My eyes are learning, and getting used to, scanning the new look player cards to be able to quickly judge my players abilities in the same fashion I did in v24 and before.
The only thing that still looks "off" to me is the individual pitch ratings. They appear to be too low compared to the skill of the pitchers. Matt has posted somewhere that this is a bug and the pitches themselves are fine under the hood, but aren't being displayed properly. This will be fixed in a patch. I hope the next one as it really throws me off when trying to assess my P's as I go through the offseason.
From the time I've put in I think the new larger ratings scale is a great. Not at the MLB level, where I don't think I notice a difference, but at the lower minors. When I look at my minor league teams and youth complex with the filter set to the appropriate level (set "relative to" to rookie ball while looking at that league) the player ratings make more sense, id dialed into the specific league, for a lack of a better way to describe it. Keep in mind I've only just got to the part of offseason where I'm getting ready to do a full review of my minor league clubs meaning this opinion is based on a very short amount of game time. I suppose things could change, but right now I'm excited to get back into it today.
