Not great...
We really didn't want to lose the
Joe Marlette start, but thanks to Houston's Patrick Upchurch and an offense that took the game off after the first inning, we did and Houston now has a 1-0 lead in the ALCS. Homers from
Wander Franco and
Danny Arroyave gave the Rays a quick 2-0 lead in the first but Upchurch, who hit .302-54-154 this year, erased that lead with a 2-run shot in the bottom of the inning and then added a 2-run double to put the Astros ahead to stay. And that's where things pretty much stood the rest of the way although in the 9th the Rays loaded the bases with nobody out with a prime chance to pull off the comeback but ended up not scoring anyone. So now
Danny Morales will try to keep us out of an 0-2 hole tomorrow.
