I've made it to the debut of the Continental League and the Cuban crisis where they are abolished from the World Cup for a length of time.
Also, to try and properly simulate how the world was, Eastern bloc countries are on lock down like the Cuban League was for many years. On top of that, you have countries that split up (Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Netherlands Antilles) that have to be properly accounted for as well.
