The Party Boys took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Facing County Crossing hurler Gavin Eviritts with one out, Murtagh hit a 2-run home run.

"What we get, we earn," Murtagh told the Nordhagen Beach Citizen.

Road Win Lifts Nordhagen Beach to 2-1 Lead in ACS
Ugio Church pitched a gem to help the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys escape with a tight 1-0 victory over the County Crossing Bloodbugs in a low-scoring Association Championship contest today. The left-handed Church threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Party Boys on a day when their offense dried up. Nordhagen Beach now leads the best-of-7 series 2-1.

Church, who was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, threw 126 pitches over 8.1 innings, while allowing no runs.

Church called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beantown Brewery Stadium in County Crossing.

Game 4: Nordhagen Beach 12, County Crossing 8

Almost There: Nordhagen Beach On Cusp of ACS Triumph After 12-8 Win

With left fielder Michael Fogcrawler leading the charge, the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys got a road win over the County Crossing Bloodbugs, 12-8, in Game 4 of the Association Championship today. Fogcrawler was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 at Beantown Brewery Stadium to help Nordhagen Beach take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The Party Boys took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Facing County Crossing hurler Gavin Eviritts with two outs, Fogcrawler hit a 2-run home run.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Fogcrawler told the Nordhagen Beach Citizen.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beantown Brewery Stadium in County Crossing.

Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday at Easy Town Field in Easy Town.

Game 5: Nordhagen Beach 7, County Crossing 6

Party Boys Advance to Sole Survivor Series

The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys are bound for the Sole Survivor Series.

A 7-6 win over the County Crossing Bloodbugs at Beantown Brewery Stadium ended the Association Championship, 4-1.

"We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Pipe Wallcrawler. "This could be the biggest celebration Nordhagen Beach has ever seen if we can win the Sole Survivor Series."

Entering the top of the 4th with a 3-0 lead, the Boys broke the game open with four runs. Between County Crossing starter Matt Hope and reliever Drama Miller, they walked three batters and allowed three hits for the big inning. Michael Fogcrawler hit a two-RBI single to provide the final two runs for a 7-0 lead.

The state of the Commonwealth Baseball Organization championship remains in doubt, but the Party Boys certainly appear to be strong contenders.

Wallcrawler was named MVP of the Association Championship after he posted a .458 batting average, while adding 1 home runs, driving in 3 RBI and scoring 6 runs.

A dejected Crow Guai, manager for County Crossing, weighed in at the end of the game. "I guess we had to take four games to extra innings to win this series. That's the only way we could beat them."

The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Roxbury Rad Sox - Jamaica Plain Red Rockets series. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship finishes.

Home Field Advantage: Goodman, Roxbury Open Association Championship with Win

The Roxbury Rad Sox started the Association Championship in style today, downing the visiting Jamaica Plain Red Rockets at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury by a score of 5-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Rad Sox left fielder Young Goodman hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

Goodman had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Rad Sox. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Roxbury trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Goodman.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury in Roxbury.

Game 2: Roxbury 10, Jamaica Plain 8

Rad Sox Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 2-0

Despite a great performance by Jamaica Plain shortstop Jake Doucette, the Roxbury Rad Sox defeated the Red Rockets by the score of 10-8 at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury today. Doucette went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5, but he could not prevent the Rad Sox from moving one game closer to the Sole Survivor Series. Roxbury now leads the Association Championship 2-0.

Had Biddy Swenson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Swenson hit a 2-run double. That made the score 10-8, in favor of the Rad Sox.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Swenson.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Red Rockets Stadium in Jamaica Plain.

Hazmatt Zuniga dealt the Rad Sox a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Jamaica Plain leading 1-0, Zuniga, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2301 draft, hit a 2-1 cutter for a 3-run home run.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Zuniga.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Red Rockets Stadium in Jamaica Plain.

Almost There: Roxbury On Cusp of ACS Triumph After 8-5 Win

Downie went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Rad Sox, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fifth when Downie hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Rad Sox into the lead, 3-2.

"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Roxbury manager Coffee Kupp told reporters.

Game 6: Roxbury 3, Jamaica Plain 2, 10 inn.

Rad Sox Move on to Sole Survivor Series

The Association Championship didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.

But the Roxbury Rad Sox are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets 4-2 to advance to the Sole Survivor Series.

"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Rad Sox left fielder Young Goodman. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."

Roxbury won the final game by a score of 3-2 in an extra inning at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. The winning run came in the bottom of the 10th. With Chris Deathclaw on the mound, Chris Connexx singled to lead off and advanced to third on Biddy Swenson's double. Pinch hitter Tut Campbell then hit the series-winning walk-off single to send Roxbury to the Sole Survivor Series. Campbell only had 13 hits during the regular season.

"I tried to pretend it was no pressure," Campbell said. "It was a lot of pressure."

Goodman was named series MVP after hitting .360 with a .407 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Roxbury Rad Sox will play against the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys in the next round. Nordhagen Beach won their series against the County Crossing Bloodbugs 4 games to 1. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship finishes.
