The November Super Post

CBO at Ten

We have now completed 10 seasons of the full CBO, and we hope to have many more to go. More and more of the original 648 players drafted have moved on from being players to active coaches in the CBO or contributing members of the Commonwealth.

With the newest champions, the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, crowned, the CBO now prepares for its 12th total offseason where teams will make moves to improve their teams and draft players they hope can contribute sooner than later.

There are even more changes coming in the CBO, including a few relocations, rebrandings, and additions. We are featuring the biggest announcement today, but look for a few more changes as 2307 comes to an end and 2308 begins.

Boston Collegiate Athletic Conference Formed

A new chapter in collegiate sports is set to begin as the Boston Collegiate Athletic Conference (BCAC) will make its debut in 2308. Uniting eight institutions in a celebration of athletic prowess and academic excellence, the BCAA will usher in a new era of inter-university competition.

From the hallowed halls and historic campuses of the C.I.T. Engineers and Harvard University Crimson to the dynamic community of the Commonwealth University Terriers, each team brings a vibrant history and a passionate following to the league. In the Northern Division, the Tufts University Jumbos and Bunker Hill University Globalists join C.I.T. and Harvard. The Southern Division boasts the Boston College Eagles, University Point's Mass Bay University Beacons, the Northeastern Huskies, and Commonwealth University.

The league's formation, led by the efforts of Lexington owner Trashcan Carla, has been met with widespread excitement, with teams eager to don their colors and represent their alma mater. Commissioner Nate Howard of the CBO has endorsed the BCAC, highlighting the importance of athletic events in fostering community and collaboration: "The Bee-Cack [BCAC] is a testament to the spirit of the Commonwealth, and the CBO is thrilled to support this venture. We look forward to seasons filled with competition, character, and camaraderie."

The BCAC teams are set to commence competition in the 2308 season, with an 86-game schedule that promises thrilling matchups and new rivalries. With the backing of the CBO and the passion of countless students and future alumni, the BCAC is poised to become a beloved institution in the Commonwealth's sporting landscape.

The participating universities are not just centers of academic learning; they are custodians of deep historical roots that reflect the Commonwealth's storied past. All eight universities were pre-War institutions in the Boston area that have been replenished since Howard helped to free the Commonwealth in the late 2280s.

SL Reliever - David Bridges was a calming influence out of the Boston Common Lead Bellies bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Stars League Reliever of the Year Award for 2307.

The Springfield, Massachusetts native won the award with 20 saves in 40 relief appearances, 52 strikeouts in 42.2 innings and a record of 6-3 to go with his 1.69 ERA.

He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ed Rare of the Brookline Bandoliers finished second in voting with 13 first place votes, while Jimmy Harp of the Sandwich Bay Snakes finished third with 1 first place vote.
