We had one more late spring injury and it was one we could have done without as slugging LF
Luis Berumen sprained his knee and will miss all of April. This leaves us with the following Opening Day roster:
C-Gutierrez, Bing
1B-Stack
2B-Franco
SS-Blackwell
3B-Arroyave
IF-Cisneros, A.Lopez
LF-Stephens
CF-Rivas
RF-Fisher
OF-Ko
DH-Charlton
SP-Marlette, Morales, Bryant, L.Gutierrez, Urizar
LR-Marion
MR-Arnold, Coggin, Mauricio, Bridgewater, Gammage
SU-Riddick, Abeyta
CL-J.Smith
Art Bing makes it as the backup catcher ahead of
Javy Denton due to the latter having options and the former not,
Tony Fisher becomes a full-time starter due to the Berumen injury, and top pitching prospect
Dwayne Marion makes the team with the Scheu injury.
Without Berumen or Scheu factoring in since they only use the current rosters, the preseason predictions are really down on us:
I would bet the over on 80 wins for the Rays.
