They were a bit of a surprise since they didn't have their "best" team, but going 11-2 in the postseason against three good teams is most certainly a dominant performance.
Looking at the team, they may still be at the top, but the team is all aging quickly. Their starting rotation will have three in their early 30s: Nut, Church, and Beach. Martinson will be 29. All their positional starters are either early 30s or late 20s.
However, unless those players suddenly take ratings hits, they will still be contenders for at least the next couple of years.
In the future, they have a few prospects that can come up and help the team. 1B Mountainside Rockhand, their 2306 1st-round draft pick, may displace Assman as early as 2308. They have a few pitchers who could develop into starters in the future, but none are close to being there yet.
