Going home looking for a sweep..
Jose Lozada and the defense were the stars on Broadway tonight as the Rays beat the Yankees again 5-2 to go up 2-0 in their best-of-5 ALDS. The left fielder homered to put the Rays up 3-1 and then after the Yankees pulled within a run his RBI triple and subsequent score on a sac fly gave them critical breathing room. Brad Villarreal was shaky and helped out by 4 double plays behind him as he uncharacteristically issued 4 bases on balls in his 5 innings of work, but the bullpen was outstanding, especially Chris Hetzel who pitched a hitless 7th and 8th. So not only will the Rays be returning home with a chance to close out the Yankees, they'll have ace Dave Rose on the hill.
