Cards news: Dec. 30 -- Birds swap lefty relievers with Rangers
The St. Louis Cardinals have traded left-handed reliever Packy Naughton in exchange for lefty reliver Keiji Tanabe.
Tenabe, 32, has been with the Rangers since the 2023 season.
In 85 games, he has gone 6-10 with 16 saves and a 3.36 ERA.
Acquired in a 2023 trade with Cincinnati, Naughton 29, also has bounced back and fourth between the majors and AAA.
In 49 games with St. Louis, he has gone 0-8 with one save and a 5.52 ERA.
